Why Capsules

How-to-Use

Cooking with our seasoning capsules is easy! There are two quick ways they can be used.

Toss the encapsulated spices directly into a hot liquid base, such as tomato sauce, soup broth or water. As the liquid boils, you will be able to see the capsules dissolve before your eyes. Stir well to mix the spices in, the same as you would if adding spices with a measuring spoon. The only difference is, this time, no messes or spills, and nothing to wash up afterwards. All you are left with is the delicious aroma of fresh spices cooking in your pot!

The seasonings can also be used by twisting the capsule halves apart, and sprinkling the spices directly onto your food. This method works well for seasoning meats, poultry and fish prior to cooking. It is also a great way to flavor pastas, rice, mashed potatoes or vegetables. You can add the spices to prepared or packaged foods, too, to season, garnish or simply to add more flavor to whatever you are cooking.

All seasonings are salt and preservative free, and each capsule provides ¼ teaspoon of product. This is an ideal measure, since it can apply to the individual or multiple person recipes.

Trail Gourmet can also be used to flavor pastas, rice, mashed potatoes or vegetables. You can add the spices to prepared or packaged foods, too, to season, garnish or simply to add more flavor to whatever you are cooking! By adding 5-6 capsules of Italian seasoning to your tomato sauce, you can make your own spaghetti sauce. Or add Sedona spices to the tomato sauce and create a chili base. Having some fish? Why not sprinkle some Hatteras or Cabo spices before grilling? Trail Gourmet spices make any meal taste great, no matter where your "kitchen" is.
